The Ambulatory Surgical Center at Carolinas Centers for Sight is attached to the ophthalmology practice. It is a fully staffed, state-of-the-art facility where our highly skilled surgeons perform a vast array of procedures. From drop-off in our all-weather covered apron area to discharge, patient care and comfort are paramount.

Our professional medical staff ensures that all patient concerns are addressed before and after procedures. In addition to our surgeons, the staff includes registered nurses, anesthesiologists and surgical technicians.

Over 3,000 surgeries are performed annually in the ASC operating rooms and laser treatment areas. The most frequently performed surgeries include Small Incision Cataract removal, Tecnis Multifocal Lens Implants, YAG Laser Capsulotomies and Pupillary Iridotomies, treatments for Diabetic Eye Disease, Retinal Detachment, Glaucoma and Macular Degeneration as well as Eyelid Plastic Surgery.
