When I was recently hunting, I saw a deer with both eyes but as I looked into my lens with my right eye the deer was gone. Dr. Sam Seltzer successfully removed a cataract from my right eye which was causing my vision loss. What a difference being able to see again makes!

As a retired LPN, I was considering going back to work but my cataracts had become so bad it was beginning to affect my driving. I was actually afraid to get in the car. A former employee of Dr. Seltzer’s recommended that I come in and see him. When I met with Dr. Seltzer, he exuded such confidence that I was never worried about the surgery. Since my cataracts were removed, I no longer have to wear my glasses except to read. I couldn’t be more pleased.

It has been one year since you performed my LASIK surgery. I cannot tell you how grateful I am for your services. Life without glasses or contacts is fantastic. It is a great feeling knowing that I no longer need to worry about scratched lenses or itchy contacts. I continue to be a walking commercial for Carolinas Centers for Sight and LASIK surgery. I no longer pass friends in public places without saying hello. Prior to LASIK, I could not recognize friends without glasses or contacts. It is great to have my vision restored to 20/20.

After LASIK, driving at night is no longer a problem. Athletics and exercise is much more enjoyable without glasses. Prior to LASIK, either my glasses would fog up or my contacts would dry out. It drove me crazy. Playing with my kids in the yard is even more fun now that I do not need to worry about glasses. Pelicans games are more enjoyable. One of my favorite hobbies is running. It is so nice to be able to read street signs, see oncoming cars and occasionally see and avoid an aggressive dog during my weekly runs.

I had friends who were skeptical about the surgery. I am still amazed at the ease and painlessness of the LASIK process. The process from arrival to departure took no more than 45 minutes. By that evening, I was looking through the window and amazed that I could see very clearly. Within several days, my vision was perfect. One of the greatest benefits is that my wife no longer is burdened with my complaints about contacts or glasses.

My vision was extremely poor from having cataracts in both of my eyes. After having surgery to remove both of my cataracts, I now have 20/20 vision and no longer need to wear my glasses. As a senior citizen who has had glaucoma for 25 years, I am extremely grateful to Dr. Seltzer and his staff for restoring my vision!
