Dr. Robinson earned his BS degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and his medical degree from Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. He completed his internship and residency in ophthalmology from Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. He was also Chief Resident, Ophthalmology, at Emory. He completed his fellowship in Vitreoretinal Surgery at William Beaumont Hospital in Michigan.
Dr. Robinson is board certified in ophthalmology and retina, a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, a member of the American Medical Association, Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, the American Society of Retinal Specialists and Alpha Omega Alpha National Honor Medical Society. He has presented abstracts at national, international and institutional conferences. He is on the editorial board for New Retina MD Magazine. He has numerous published research articles in Retina, JAMA Ophthalmology and Ophthalmology Magazines. In addition, he has also written several book chapters.
Procedures and Care
Dr. Robinson specializes in the treatment of patients with age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, macular hole, surgical management of complex retinal detachment, and complications of cataract surgery.
Personal: Dr. Robinson is married to Lisa and they have two children, Caitlyn and Jake. Outside of the office, Dr. Robinson enjoys spending time with his family.
